When spraying paint, use PU tube or PE tube for paint tube

There are basically three types of tubes used in our paint spraying industry;

PU air hose: It is made of high resilience polyurethane raw material, which is soft, usually an air pressure hose.

PE tubing: Corrosion resistant, it will be harder than PE hose.

Double-layer pipe: generally adopt the material combination of outer PU and inner Teflon, which combines the advantages of PU air pipe and PE oil pipe, and the pipe body is soft and corrosion-resistant.

Softness: PU tubing>double-layer tubing>PE tubing

Corrosion resistance: double-layer tubing>PE tubing>PU tubing

The main reason is that there are corrosive liquids in the paint, so when you use the pipe, you usually choose the corrosion-resistant pipe (PE pipe and double-layer pipe). If you choose to use the PU air hose, the pipe will burst after a period of use. Due to the increase in the diameter of the pipe due to corrosion, the corroded pipe will not be smooth and cause a large amount of paint to remain, so that during use, small solidified particles will flow to the nozzle and block the spray gun.

In addition, there are cost considerations when choosing PE pipes and double-layer oil pipes. The price of PE pipes will be lower, but the pipes cannot be folded. This is generally used for fixed automatic spray guns. So above the automatic coating equipment (reciprocating machine and automatic coating line). The price of double-layer tubing is relatively high, but it has the feature that the PU hose can be folded, and it is often used for pressure-fed manual spray gun spraying.

Therefore, when you use the tube, it will not happen that you use the PU air tube regardless of oil or gas (very common). Although it is convenient, a series of problems will occur after our spraying, which will cause our inconvenience. Therefore, professional work has to be done by installing professional industry standardization.
